JU said it will wait for now on deciding whether to cancel any classes on Monday, Sept. 11, and Tuesday, Sept. 12. Edward Waters College staff said the school is monitoring and preparing for Hurricane Irma. No decision has been made yet on public schools.

Any afterschool programs and extracurricular activities will not take place. NSU will remain open on Wednesday for staff and faculty, and will close at 8 a.m. Thursday.
