Green Bay Packers: Team looks at lineup changes due to injures

The Packers are going to get rookies Kevin King at cornerback and Josh Jones at safety/linebacker on the field more going forward.

They struggled in Week 1 to put the Chicago Bears away, but then the Atlanta Falcons reminded us all how high-powered their offense could be in a Week 2 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay can't allow them to hang around however either for a home loss to a scuffling AFC opponent could have a long term damaging impact.

Offensive tackles David Bakhtiari (hamstring) and Bryan Bulaga (ankle) were inactive, and receivers Jordy Nelson (quad) and Randall Cobb (chest), House (quad), safety Kentrell Brice (groin) and defensive tackle Mike Daniels (hip) dropped out during the game. The Bengals also fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese after the poor showing out of the gate, turning the play calling over to quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor on an interim basis. Last week, the Packers were without their two starting tackles as well as their leading receiver and best defensive lineman, not to mention Cobb going down in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury. On Sunday, it seemed like it went on all night for McCarthy.

By now, you have no doubt heard that the Cincinnati Bengals are the first team since 1939 to start the season with two home games, yet score zero touchdowns.

"I'm OK", Rodgers said Wednesday.

There is hope that Bulaga will return to help shore down that offensive line.

And Vontaze Burfict was suspended for the first three game of the season after a dirty hit in the preseason.

On defense, three starters are listed as doubtful. He has turned into a disruptive force up front in his sixth year, helping outside linebackers Perry and Clay Matthews get off to a good start off the edge.

Coach Marvin Lewis has steadfastly supported Dalton, resisting calls to use backup AJ McCarron. "I'm just trying to grow and expand it".

"I'm in a lot of pain right now", Cobb said in the interview, which aired Wednesday morning.

"Jordy is progressing", McCarthy said.

"He's getting better, just talking to the training staff before we came in here".
