Nathan Cleverly on Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor card

Paulie Malignaggi has repeatedly claimed that a photo of him on the canvas, was the result of Conor McGregor pushing him, and that hasn't changed now that video of him sparring the UFC champ has surfaced.

Malignaggi was hired as a sparring partner to help McGregor prepare for the showdown with Floyd Mayweather on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Malignaggi scoffed at McGregor's comments, taking to social media to defend his earlier comments that he walked out because McGregor was using him as a pawn to try and give credibility to a "house of cards" training camp.

Meanwhile Dana White has released a video of the infamous fight that led to Paulie Malignaggi walking out of McGregor's training camp over leaked pictures which he claimed were created to make him look bad. "The man was badly, badly concussed". That is unless the fight has lofty pay-per-view expectations to live up to, and what happened in the gym makes the underdog look more credible. We were anxious about him.

We all got a great kick out of the song an Irish fan wrote for UFC star Conor McGregor this week. We were anxious about him.

"Lets [sic] see how August 26th plays out, that one is around the corner".

The footage showed McGregor connecting with a vicious straight left, his signature shot, that seemed to wobble Malignaggi.

McGregor, 29, said it was "sad the way it ended", but that it probably wasn't going to end any other way.

Malignaggi was quick to defend himself, maintaining that the full footage will prove that he dished out an "ass beating" to McGregor. At the end of the day, we got in and traded blows, so I respect him for coming in.

The session is McGregor's first open media availability since the infamous four city press tour, in which he and Mayweather verbally clashed at every stop.

Last week Mayweather posted an Instagram message stating, "I'll be wearing 8oz Grant gloves", which was met with much approval from his opponent Conor McGregor.
