Warriors' Game 5 win wraps up highly-watched NBA Finals

The Warriors went 16-1 in this year's postseason, with sweeps in the first three rounds before beating LeBron James and the Cavaliers in five games in the Finals.

"Obviously, as a team, we're going to have a conversation", Curry continued. The Warriors have been dubbed a super team with the addition of Durant.

Tristan Thompson (No. 13) of the Cleveland Cavaliers is defended by David West (No. 3) of the Golden State Warriors during the second half in Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals at ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California.

If you are driving down to the Bay Area to catch BART, the trains are expected to be filled with both Warriors fans and regular morning commuters.

"It was unbelievable. The energy in this building from the time we stepped foot on the floor was on 12 out of 10". We were winning games but it was, just like, you know they were switching everything.

"And that last three minutes was a blur just of pure emotion and energy. I have no reason to look back at what I could have done or what I shouldn't have done or what I could have done better for the team".

In 2016, one of the NBA's unprotesting players received a ton of flack from fans and commentators for a game-changing move. "So, this is the culmination of a year where they grew together and learned each other's games and got better and better all year, and it was just phenomenal to be part of". "That's the thing. Winning a championship is the ultimate goal and everybody here experienced that and we want to experience it again".

Managing the Warriors' egos is no seamless task, either. You learn from your disappointing times.

Later, he was straightforward and serious: "We were heartbroken last year, but this year was our turn". "There are decisions that need to be made every single year, and you have to assess the situation as it is". "It was fantastic to just see that all year, and right now just to be here with these guys, it's awesome".

"I don't believe we're a super team here", LeBron said.

As good as the team that Cleveland beat was, the latest edition with NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Durant, who averaged 35.2 points and 8.4 rebounds in the finals, is even better. "He felt like he needed to reassemble and reassess his career and come here".

At the start, Curry took a back seat to let KD get comfortable. "When he turned that corner, we became nearly unbeatable".

No one is questioning Steve Kerr's coaching abilities nor the Warriors' drafting success.

"He has had an unbelievable career, but he took it to the next level. What will make us incredible for a long, long time?"

Durant's decision to depart the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the Warriors was criticized by many, and the title was a bit of redemption for the long-time superstar.

A parade to celebrate the Golden State Warriors' second National Basketball Association title in three years is underway in downtown Oakland. "Coach puts us in position to maximize our strengths". "It's a championship. It's a great feeling". It's unique, it's something that you don't want to see end at all.
