The "Fight of the Century" between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao broke a lot of box-office records, in part thanks to its price point on pay-per-view. His fight before that, a decision win over Pacquiao, was the richest in boxing history and reportedly made him more than $200 million. I think that fight was so big and everybody was going so insane about it, that a lot of mistakes were made that cost them money, which is hilarious to say because that's the biggest money-making fight of all time.

Mayweather is considered the heavy favorite going into the fight, though regardless of the outcome McGregor's paycheck promises to be by far the biggest of his career.

That's very good value indeed, when you consider that McGregor is now priced at odds of around 4/1 and Mayweather around 1/6 with most bookmakers. Expect more of the same this time around. Now, many fans can't get enough of the outspoken champ, evidenced by the huge pay-per-view numbers his fights have drawn and the inevitable hoopla surrounding his (perhaps temporary) jump to professional boxing to face Mayweather. At least that is what happens most of the time Mayweather fights. Let's be totally honest about it, McGregor's best chance to win this fight is by knockout early on. "I think when you have the confidence and want to get into something, you have to talk your way to get into it". Round 1: From the day the fight was announced until the start of Mayweather and McGregor's press tour. On November 12, 2016, he knocked out Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight belt and he became the first fighter ever to hold two UFC championships simultaneously.
