Chelsea expect Conte to stay on despite quit talk

Diego Costa has "lots of offers" on the table to leave Chelsea this summer, according to his brother Jair, but the Spain worldwide has not made a decision where he will play next season. Get the app and get the game.

Conte himself has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after his Premier League title winning campaign with the Blues last season.

The Chelsea manager is losing his patience over the way the club hierarchy are conducting themselves in the market and that has led to growing tension between him and Chelsea.

But Chelsea say it will be business as usual once Conte returns from holiday for pre-season training.

Conte had reportedly given technical director Michael Emenalo and director Marina Granovskaia a list of transfer targets.

Conte won the Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge and has two more years remaining on his contract with the club, though the Italian is yet to agree an extension beyond that.

Conte informed the Chelsea striker by a text that he was no longer part of his plans for the new season at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian was courted by Inter over the past few months, but after the Nerazzurri signed Luciano Spalletti, it appeared as though his working relationship with the English giants would continue for the foreseeable future.

The report claims Conte also seeks a direct line of communication with owner Roman Abramovich, cutting out any and all middlemen within the club's executive structure.

Conte's family didn't follow him to London last summer, with the 47-year-old's wife and daughter staying in Italy to allow the latter to finish school.

Cantona, in a video message for Eurosport, has admonished Conte for his conduct towards Costa and told the Chelsea manager to not "run a team with your thumbs!"
